Welcome Deacon Kris Ringwall
We have a an additional deacon assigned to St. Patrick’s – thanks be to God and to Archbishop Hebda. Meet Deacon Kris Ringwall! He will not replace Deacon George – he will assist Fr. Eilen and Deacon George in serving the good people of St. Patrick’s. While the original plan was to introduce Deacon Kris Ringwall and his wife and family to the parish the weekend of May 1-2, the new deacon preferred to wait until Fr. Eilen returned to the parish. The hope and prayer is to now officially introduce Deacon Kris (Marian) Ringwall and family to the parish on the May 22/23 when Father Eilen hopes to join us. In the meantime, below is some info about Deacon Kris’ background.
Meet Deacon Kris Ringwall
I (Deacon Kris Ringwall) look forward to assisting Deacon George and Fr. Eilen in serving the good people of St. Patrick’s. I was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Bismarck, ND in 2003. My wife (Marian) and I recently moved into the Andover area after living and working for 2-years in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada) to be closer to family (6-children and 5-grandchildren). Our eldest daughter Kirstin (Cory) Kanski have been members of St. Patrick’s for several years.
Marian and I are natives of NW North Dakota (products of agriculture and caring for people). Previous to moving to Canada we lived and served in Dickinson, ND (Queen of Peace) for 26 years.
My educational background permitted me to serve as Director of the North Dakota State University Dickinson Research Extension Center, while diaconal ministry has centered on parish ministry, particularly youth ministry, confirmation prep, and training altar servers and extraordinary ministers, etc. I enjoy writing, teaching, and working with God’s people to strengthen their love for Jesus and His Church.
