Praying with Beads

Over the centuries various cultures have made beads from a variety of materials from stone and shells to clay. The English word bead derives from the Old English noun bede which means a prayer.  Absorb the gift and beauty of praying with beads and the diversity of prayer it reveals.


Larry Von Mosch: Larry Von Mosch has been a member of St. Patrick’s since 1991. He is a recent graduate of the Catechetical Institute, has facilitated bible study for many years, is a member of the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Watchmen. He is married to Pat, his wife of 46 years and has two grown sons.
