Shirley Mae Lockwood

Shirley Mae Lockwood was born May 15, 1946 in Shakopee, Minnesota to Thomas and Hildagarde Myskevitz. She graduated from Guardian Angels High School in Chaska in 1964. After high school she worked at the Carver County Courthouse.  Shirley married William Lockwood on May 1, 1965 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska. They made their home in Chaska, later in Maple Plain and then in 1976 they moved to East Bethel. They were active members at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Oak Grove the rest of their lives. Shirley took care of her two children at home until they were both in school. She then started working at the East Bethel schools in various roles, but will be remembered in the lunchroom. She was involved with the community as a Girl Scout Leader and a volunteer at church. Shirley enjoyed going to blue grass festivals, camping, traveling to Duluth, working on puzzles and spending time with her family. She had a good sense of humor, was caring, and always put others before herself. She was a special lady and will be dearly missed.

Shirley passed away August 8, 2021 in St. Paul at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 24 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hildagarde; sister, Lucille; husband, William; and many other beloved relatives.
