Rodney ‘Rod’ Dale Barfknecht, Sr.

Our St. Patrick Community is deeply saddened to receive the news that our part-time evening-weekend maintenance employee (6 years) and brother-inChrist, Rod Barfknecht, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021.

Rod was our very responsible dependable custodian and did a wide variety of other tasks including preparing our facility for community events and maintaining a clean and hospitable environment. He knew when things needed to be done and did them. He did open and lock ups, and so much more. He had a strong Christian faith in Jesus Christ.  If you didn’t know him in person, you knew he was here when you saw his vehicle in the parking lot with the license plate ‘YES GOD.’ He was never fearful to proclaim his love and faith for Jesus Christ. We will be forever grateful for his committed and faithful service to our St. Patrick community.

Rodney Dale Barfknecht, age 74, of St. Francis, MN, continued his spirits’ journey with Jesus into the afterlife on December 23, 2021. Rod is survived by his wife Susan, and children, Nancy, Jessica, Michael, Gina, Rod, Linda and Chauncy. Rod was a welder by trade and active in the word of Christ in his heart.  His Family has and will continue to appreciate all the love provided during this difficult time.

Eternal rest grant unto Rod, 0 Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in the peace of Christ Jesus!

Due to Covid, the family has requested that all attendees will be required to wear masks.
