Nicole Louise Anderlie
October 20, 1970 - April 13, 2019
Nicole Louise Chambers was born on October 20th, 1970 at Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minnesota. She grew up in Spring Lake Park, and attended Kenneth Hall Elementary School, Westwood Junior High, and graduated from Spring Lake Park High School with the class of 1989. During high school, Nicole was active in volleyball, softball, cheerleading, choir, and senate committee. Her first job with children was as a park counselor for Spring Lake Park Recreation. She worked there for four summers and was a softball coach as well.
After high school, Nicole attended Anoka Ramsey Community College for two years to save money and to get her general courses completed. She played volleyball for the AR Volleyball team. She attended St. Cloud State University for four years and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Human Relations on November 22, 1995.
Nicole was hired at St. Francis Elementary (SFE) in 1996 as a long-term substitute for first grade. She was then hired to finish out the year as a basic skill reading teacher. In 1997, she accepted a permanent position as third grade teacher at SFE as “Ms. Chambers”. Nicole later became “Mrs. Anderlie” and received her Master’s Degree in education on October 13th, 2001. Nicole continued teaching at SFE for 20 years, also in fourth grade and finally second grade.
Nicole married Dean Anderlie on December 2nd, 2000 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Oak Grove, and they resided in Andover, Minnesota. The couple had two children together: Wyatt in 2003, and Lauren in 2005.
Nicole’s passion was making moments of magic and memory for her family, by making holidays amazing, and planning wonderfully fun vacations. She also enjoyed Halloween, scrapbooking, crafts, deer hunting, fishing, sand volleyball, and being involved in her children’s sports. Nicole raised two strong children by teaching them that they are capable of being and doing anything they choose to do. She raised them in the light of Jesus Christ, to be loving and kind to others; to treat others as they would want to be treated.
Nicole passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loving family on April 13th, 2019. Nicole is preceded in death by her father, Philip Chambers. She is survived by loving husband, Dean; children Wyatt and Lauren; mother, Judy Chambers; brothers, Brad (Kathy) and Ross (Susan); eleven nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
