Jeanne Ann Fraune (nee Pyzdrowski), age 71, passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications on April 29, 2021. Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother, unmatched in her capacity for unconditional love and generosity, and tireless in her faith, optimism, and service to her community. She will be dearly remembered for her selfless nature, graceful beauty, and enduring fortitude throughout her life’s journey.

She was preceded in death by daughter Stephanie Ann, granddaughter Madeline Jo Fraune, parents Jeanne and Henry Pyzdrowski, in-laws Helen and William Fraune, and brother Henry Pyzdrowski, Jr.   Jeanne is survived by husband John Fraune, children, Christopher (Samantha), Amanda, Angela, and Chad, granddaughter Amelia and siblings Michael (Joan) Pyzdrowski; Patricia (Thomas, deceased) Seeler; Robert (Sue) Pyzdrowski; Paul (Karen) Pyzdrowski; John (Deborah) Pyzdrowski; Mary Anne (John) Pickering; Kathryn Pyzdrowski, (Thomas Nelson), Margaret Pyzdrowski (Michael Brown), Caroline (Jeffrey) Gossen.

Born on February 21, 1950 in Bend, OR. Jeanne graduated from St. Margaret’s Academy in Minneapolis, MN in 1968 and earned her bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the College of St. Benedict in Collegeville, MN in 1972. Jeanne married John in 1975 and they built a beautiful life together during their 46 years of marriage. Jeanne was a special education teacher in the St. Francis, MN school district for more than 30 years and a long-time volunteer at Mercy Hospital and Anoka County Library. Jeanne enjoyed participating in the Adoration Chapel program at St. Patrick’s and helping wherever she could. She was a strong advocate of families suffering from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and a Benedictine Oblate of St. John’s Abbey. Among her many talents, Jeanne was a gifted and prolific artist, an accomplished pianist and ardent gardener.

Mass of Christian Burial

Funeral Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation & Rosary starting at 9:00 a.m.

Burial after Funeral in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Lunch will be served in the Social Hall following burial.


O Loving Father and Savior, send your angels to carry the soul of your servant from this earth to the heavenly place of eternal and everlasting life. Let family and friends who have passed before in faith be reunited in joy with the departed. Forgive any wrongs that have been committed and welcome this beloved spirit into the warm embrace of your unending peace. Amen.
