David Harry Soltis, age 83, of Champlin, MN passed away peacefully on August 17, 2021 with his wife, Jean at his side. Born January 8, 1938 in Holdingford, MN to Harry and Helen Soltis. David graduated from Upsala High School and the University of Minnesota. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Jean; sons, Jay (Karen) and Craig (Monte); grandson, Ryan and Jack Wirtz; his siblings, Mary Lou Suchy, James, Ralph, Patricia (Rick) Erlandson, Marvin (Tera), Kathy Johnson, Arlene (Darrell) Larsen, Charles (Shirley), Harold (Bonnie); many cousins, nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Bonnie. He is preceded in death by parents, Harry and Helen; brothers, Robert, John and Duane; and niece, Terri Soltis. David spent most of his adult life in Coon Rapids, MN where he was actively involved in his community. He and his wife Jean were charter members of Epiphany Church. He volunteered as the President of the Coon Rapids Athletic Association for 12 years, and on the Coon Rapids Planning Commission. He also served on the Coon Rapids City Council for eight years. Dave and Jean moved to Applewood Pointe of Champlin at Mississippi Crossings in 2019 where he served on the Board of Directors. . Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 27th at 11:00am at St Patrick Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale Street NW, Oak Grove. Visitation begins at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to charity of choice. Private interment to be held at a later date.
