Dale ‘Dirk’ Peter Dierkhising

Dale “Dirk” Peter Dierkhising was born October 30, 1946. On September 15, 2019, he died at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Dirk was a graduate of West High School in Minneapolis. He attended Bemidji State University, and Metropolitan State University. He enjoyed being a member of the Knights of Columbus and was eager to serve in both hospitality and ushering. His favorite outreach program within the Knights of Columbus is the Tootsie Roll Drive. Dirk was a true family man who loved to cook, but mostly loved goofing around with his grandchildren. He also loved to play cribbage with the guys.

Dirk is survived by, wife, Linda of Oak Grove; son, Eric of Oak Grove, daughter, Stacey (Loren) of Plymouth, son, Mike (Misty) of Coon Rapids, and grandchildren: Ryan (Maria), Ashley, Taylor, Claire, Grace, Olivia, Isabel, Lily, Maximilian, and Sophia (Fi), as well as four great-grandchildren and a brother, Richard “Dirk” Dierkhising (Judy).

Dirk was preceded in death by Helen (Mother), Aloysius (Father), and Evelyn Stone (Sister).

Mass of Christian Burial

Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

Visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.

After Mass, lunch will be served in the Social Hall.

Private burial at Epiphany Cemetery following luncheon.

O Loving Father and Savior, send your angels to carry the soul of your servant from this earth to the heavenly place of eternal and everlasting life. Let family and friends who have passed before in faith be reunited in joy with the departed. Forgive any wrongs that have been committed and welcome this beloved spirit into the warm embrace of your unending peace. Amen.
