Did you know that it is never too late to receive the Sacramental gifts that God has for each one of us? Jesus instituted these gifts during His public ministry to help us in this life and as we journey to the next—Heaven! Many are aware of the OCIA program which works with our adults to receive Sacraments they may have missed or to help them learn about our Catholic Faith and ultimately become a Catholic. We offer the same Sacramental opportunities for our children and youth, and we call this ministry “Grace Abounds.”
Grace Abounds offers Sacramental preparation to any child/youth who is seeking to receive one or more Sacraments, while at the same time, attending their age-appropriate formation program here at St. Patrick’s. Similar to OCIA, but for the “younger set”, this program accompanies children, youth, and their parents along their faith journey. Typically, Baptism occurs as an infant, Reconciliation and First Communion in 2nd grade and here at St. Patrick’s, our youth are confirmed in the 10th grade. Wherever a child/youth is on the sacramental journey, we are excited and eager to walk with them!
